Integrating youth to high school
Franc Succès
The Franc Succès program offers newly arrived youth from grades 7 to 12 in Canada a series of recreational and cultural activities designed to help them smoothly adapt to Canadian culture.
The program, held in certain secondary schools in Ottawa, provides a range of activities to support youth integration:
Workshops on various topics
Volunteer and community involvement opportunities
Training in employment-related skills
Special activities
Building a social network
Access to resources
*The Franc Succès program is available in French-language secondary schools in Ottawa.

Youth support group
Between girls and between guys
Our team of community workers offer the Girl-to-Girl or Entre-garsa safe support and sharing group open to people aged 10 to 17 who self-identify as girls for the Girl-to-Girl or as a boy for the Entre-gars. Par l’entremise de discussions de groupe et d’activités diverses, le programme traite de thématiques dont :
- self-esteem
- body image
- interpersonal relations
- factors contributing to stress and/or depression
- Any other topic brought by participants
This 8-week series is offered at school during lunch hour.

Healthy living
B.A.B.E.S.
B.A.B.E.S. is an 8-week program offered to 3rd graders in participating schools, encouraging the development of healthy living skills and the prevention of self-destructive behavior. Information is presented in a way designed to capture children’s attention, using storytelling, brightly colored puppets, flash cards and songs. Session themes include feelings, self-esteem, decision-making, peer pressure, coping skills and information on drugs and alcohol.

Socio-emotional learning workshops
S.E.L.F.I.E.
The S.E.L.F.I.E program is designed to help young people aged 10 to 17 with their socio-emotional learning. The program, which is led by animators during the school lunch hour, offers a series of 6-8 workshops covering the following themes:
- Self-awareness
- Self-control
- Social awareness
- Interpersonal relations
- Decision-making
