A program for newcomers that leads to employment

Experica

Experica is a 12-week mentoring program that supports newcomers in finding their first job in Canada in their field of expertise. During the program, participants are matched with unpaid workplace internship opportunities, engage in individual and group coaching sessions, and commit to job search efforts.

At the end of the program, 85% of participants secure employment in their field of expertise!

* Eligibility criteria: Permanent residents, accepted refugees, capable of communicating in French and English. People who have not worked in their field of expertise since arriving in Canada.

MILLENNIUM
LEARNING CENTRES

The Millennium Learning Centres (MLC) are welcoming spaces where people can access computers and WiFi. Most MLC’s offer orientation sessions and basic courses to learn computer skills. The MLCs are located in community health centers and resource centres throughout the Ottawa area, including the Vanier CSC.
